Shoes for Show

Gareth Pugh for Beyonce

Who needs an outfit if you have a good shoe? Interning at various fashion public relations agencies has really changed the way I looked at shoes. Seeing Nicholas Kirkwood’s shoes in person made me realize that they are in fact works of art. In some cases the closet museum may be someone’s closet. A perfect example is Jane Aldridge creator of Sea of Shoes, personal style blog always leaves me drooling. However,  Javari held a shoe lover’s dream exhibition at East London’s Old Truman Brewery entitled “Shoes for Show” featuring remarkable couture shoes. Gareth Pugh’s structured gold shoes for Beyoncé shined brightly and Meadham Kirchhoff’s green and pink glitter flatforms sparkled playfully, whilst jaws dropped at the highest heel in the world – Christian Louboutin’s towering, crystal encrusted ballet pumps.
