Prom season is in full swing. Girls are writing their wish list and checking it twice. Prom is suppose to be one of the best times of a girls life along with other milestones. Unfortunately, not every girl has the same experience. Some girls can’t afford to buy their dream dress.
So, The City College of New York’s (CCNY) New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) chapter has been working to change that. Today is NYPIRG’s 5th annual Project Prom event. CCNY has collected over 400 gently worn donated dresses to give to underprivileged girls in the community free of charge. The event will be from 3-7pm. Keep up the good work!
